Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) was incorporated into population‒based screening for gastric cancer detection in 2016. The JED (Japan Endoscopy Database) project was initiated in 2015 ; its aim is to construct the largest endoscopic database in the world. We describe the outlook of the JED Project, essential and preferred items in terms of screening type JED (whose terminology was modified from original JED), and future prospects of screening type JED. |
