[ Summary ] |
Generally it is thought that imaging of flat lesions using CTCs is difficult. In this study we examined 36 LST lesions with CTC imaging and colonoscopy. We found that CTCs were useful for imaging lesions with tumor heights greater than 2 mm and tumor diameters exceeding 20 mm. Surface colorectal cancers were imaged significantly more frequently than adenomas. Clinically, lesions that require treatment have a tendency to be easily imaged. However high quality images are necessary for diagnosis in radiographic interpretation of information. The accumulation of knowledge and progress in the development of equipment and novel preparation technique. It is important to train care givers to detect flat lesions with CTCs. |
