[ Summary ] |
Improvements in existing technology and maintenance of equipment are vital for imaging quality. Reading methods are also key factors in establishing computed tomography colonography (CTC) as a reliable tool for screening examinations. There are several steps to achieve improvements in CTC ; 1) preparation before examination, 2) distention of the bowel loop during examination, 3) scanning protocols, 4) post-processing of imaging data and 5) reading methods. We will illustrate and discuss points on improving the quality of CTC. It is essential to follow standardized methods in every procedure, making minor adjustments according to institutional circumstances. |
