【 要旨 】 疾患の動物モデルの解析は，ヒトの疾患の診断・治療に資するところは大きい．特定の疾患の動物モデルは，動物モデルの発症機序・表現型と，ヒト疾患の病態・病因との相似性，近似性の視点から論じるのが適切であると思われる．本稿では，まず肝臓での脂肪酸蓄積について概説した．さらに，NAFLDマウスモデル14種類の特徴，有用性，問題点を概説した．これらのモデルは，完全にはNASHの病態を反映しないが，それぞれの目的でモデルを選択することで有用なデータが得られると期待される．

Title Utility of and Problems with NASH Animal Models

[ Summary ] In this review, we discuss the importance of animal models as tools for NASH research. The characteristics, utilities and problems with 14 mouse NAFLD models are described. Of the 14 mouse models which were reported on to this time, none are the hoped for models for human NAFLD treatment. These models may prove to be important for the study of the pathophysiology of NASH if they can be used for future research.
