[ Summary ] |
It has been found in recent years that obesity can be a risk factor for colorectal cancer, as well as for cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders. Adipocytokines originate in visceral adipose tissue. The core pathogenesis of metabolic syndrome, has been found to be associated with colorectal carcinogenesis. The relevance of this factor is observed more strongly in males than in females. Weight loss and exercise may help prevent colorectal cancer. |
