[ Summary ] |
We describe indications and techniques for endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD). ENBD is a temporary external drainage method. Either acute cholangitis or pre-operative drainage for hilar cholangiocarcinoma is a good indication for employment of ENBD. ENBD tubes are available in varying diameters and shapes. Proper selection of ENBD tubes for patients with hilar cholangiocarcinoma should be decided in consideration of anatomical structures. |
