[ Summary ] |
Abdominal ultrasonographic, methods include B-mode imaging, color Doppler imaging and US-elastography (EGUS). EG-US, which depicts tissue elasticity provides information abouthardness at a specific pointas well as distributed patterns of tissue hardness. The former is useful for diagnosing focal lesions of the pancreas, the latter for staging of diffuse pancreatic diseases. We recognize the utility of B-mode combined EG-US for its high accuracy rates for diagnosing pancreatic tumors and fibrosis. We report on EG-US for observation of pancreatic diseases and interpretations of information obtained in referance to diagnostic potentials. |
