| 【 要旨 】 | 数ある画像診断法のなかで，超音波検査（US）はもっとも空間分解能に優れているといっても過言ではない．すなわち，対象臓器の断層像をもっとも詳細に描出できる検査法である．そのうえ，リアルタイム性に優れ，病棟への持ち運びが可能であり，身体的侵襲の少ない検査法でもある．また外来診療中，腹痛患者の圧痛点に超音波プローブをあてることで，瞬時に胆囊炎と確定診断しえた症例をわれわれは経験する．これは触診USともいえ，他の検査法にはまねのできない大きな利点である．このようなすばらしい特徴のあるUSの正しい知識とテクニックを身につけていれば，日常臨床の場で大変役に立つ． 本稿では，腹部超音波を理解するため，超音波解剖，用語，超音波装置の基本について述べる． |

| [ Summary ] | It would not be an overstatement to argue that ultrasonography has the best spatial resolution of the great number of diagnostic imaging techniques. This technology allows us to develop detailed tomographic views of the organ of interest. With this imaging technique, diagnosis can be made in real time. The imaging devices can also be transported in and out of hospital wards. Ultrasound procedures are among the least invasive laboratory techniques as well. We experienced clinical cases in which we are able to diagnosechole cystitis as soon as an ultrasound probe is placed on the abdomen of patients with abdominal pain. This diagnostic method is termed, ultrasonic palpation. It cannot be duplicated using any other clinical device. With the proper knowledge of ultrasonographic techniques, we can use this remarkable medical device to great advantage in daily clinical practice. In this article, to promote understanding of abdominal ultrasound, wediscuss ultrasound visualization of anatomy and explain ultrasound terminology, as well as elucidate the basics of ultrasound devices. |
