[ Summary ] |
Colorectal ESD techniques have become popular treatment options in Japan. We must understand the clinicopathological characteristics of colorectal tumors in terms of selected treatments. LST-NG-PD and LST-G-M are the primary target lesions. The main issues are how to best resect fibrotic lesions and how to maintain proper scope position. Dual knife, upper GI scope, and overtube assisted techniques are effective. Delayed perforation is a severe complication, requiring surgical support. In the future, integrations of endoscopic treatment and surgery will move us from mere visions toward the concrete reality of new treatment modalities. |
