| [ Summary ] |
The primary role of CTs and MRIs in the diagnosis of pancreatic adenocarcinoma is the detection of small pancreatic adenocarcinomas for which curative surgery may provide favorable prognoses. Furthermore, CTs and MRIs play important roles in precise staging of pancreatic carcinoma. This may provide useful information influencing choice of the most appropriate treatment. In this article, we will comprehensively review the effectiveness of CT and MRI imaging for diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, including recent technical advancements, with particular emphasis on the utility of gadoxetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced MRIs for the detection of liver metastasis. |
