【 要旨 】 大腸内圧検査について，測定方法，測定上の問題点などについて解説した．また，最近の大腸内圧に関する報告から，おもな臨床的検討について述べた．24 時間大腸内圧測定では長時間の大腸内圧測定から生理学的，病態生理学的知見が得られている．また，間接的方法として腸音図や腸電図について，コンピュータ解析の発達とともに研究がなされつつある．大腸内圧の臨床的検討は過敏性腸症候群や慢性便秘などについての報告がある．大腸運動機能異常疾患の大腸内圧を測定しても，確定診断には至らないが，病態生理の把握や治療薬の薬理の解明などに有用である．

Title Motility Disorders of the Colon and Measurement of Colonic Motility

[ Summary ] Methodologies and methodological problems related to colonic motility are explained. To study motilities employed in the ascending colon, the ERBI method offers rapid access to the ascending colon to insert pressure sensors. Recent basic clinical reports on colonic motilities are reviewed. Ambulatory 24-hour colonic manometry revealed new physiological and pathophysiological facts concerning colonic motility. Two new approaches, electrotachograms and electrocolonograms, measure the colonic motility employing the use of computers. The measurement of colonic motility is not useful for the accurate diagnosis of motility disorders of the colon.
