【 要旨 】 これまで，胃排出能を含め多くの手技が胃十二指腸運動の評価に用いられてきたが，日常臨床に用いるには，その多くは技術的に制限があったり，高価であったり，また，複雑であった．最近の超音波機器や手技の進歩は著しく，体外式超音波法を用いて胃十二指腸運動を評価できるようになった．体外式超音波法は簡便で，非侵襲的であり，十二指腸胃逆流とともに，液体食および固形食で胃排出能と前庭部運動能を評価できる．

[ Summary ] Although a number of methods have been used to evaluate gastroduodenal motility including gastric emptying, many of them have technical limitations and are too expensive or complex for use in daily clinical practice. Recent technical developments enable one to evaluate gastroduodenal motility by using ultrasonography. Ultrasonograpy is a simple, non-invasive modality for the assessment of gastric emptying and antral motility in either a liquid or solid meal, along with the assessment of duodenogastric reflux(DGR).
