| [ Summary ] |
We report on magnified endoscopic findings related to early gastric cancer and gastric adenoma. Magnifying chromoendoscopy with crystal violet and crystal violet staining plus Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) was performed to diagnose early gastric cancer and gastric adenoma. Long tubular pit patterns indicated adenomas. Well differentiated adenocarcinoma and papillary adenocarcinoma often exhibited different sized pit or destructive pit patterns. Small round pit patterns were most commonly found in moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma. The non-structured patterns suggested undifferentiated adenocarcinoma (poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and signet ring cell carcinoma). In microvessels, fine network patterns and loop patterns were seen in defferentiated adenocarcinoma. Corkscrew patterns were observed in undifferented adenocarcinoma. In contrast to superficial structures and microvessels, increases in or dissipation of blood vessels areconsidered to be non-structurally related. |
