| [ Summary ] |
Magnifying observation can be performed easily with a one touch motion of the zoom lever on the left of the thumb activated control. Good preparation and washing away mucus on colorectal lesions is necessary for correct pit pattern dingnosis using chromoendoscopy. Crystal violet staining for colorectal lesions cannot be used to examine all lesions. However, it is necessary for observation of irregular pits (type V pit pattern) using indigocarmine dye-spraying. Recently, it has been reported that Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) magnification is clinically useful for colorectal lesions and can be used instead of magnification for diagnosis of regular pit patterns (type IIIL or IV pit patterns) with chromoendoscopy. |
