【 要旨 】 現在，本邦において胃癌におけるsentinel node (SN) 理論の妥当性と臨床応用の安全性を検証するSentinel Node Navigation Surgery (SNNS) 研究会・厚生労働省がん研究助成金研究班による多施設共同研究が進行中である．この多施設共同臨床試験は，将来の腹腔鏡下手術への応用を考慮し，トレーサーとして色素とradioisotope (RI) を併用し，内視鏡による粘膜下層注入法を採用している．胃癌SN生検の標準手技を確立するうえで，また今後の胃癌SN生検の臨床応用の方向性を見極めるうえできわめて重要な研究である．

[ Summary ] A study group, the Japan Society of Sentinel Node Navigation Surgery, is conducting a multi-center prospective trial of sentinel node mapping for early gastric cancer. A dual tracer method, with blue dye and radio-active colloid and endoscopic injection is used. The results of this clinical trial should provide useful perspectives on the future direction of sentinel node navigation surgery for early gastric cancer.
