| 【 要旨 】 | 北海道北見市で69歳，男性がE型劇症肝炎で死亡した．種々の調査により同市内の焼肉店で会食した患者の親類縁者計7名にE型肝炎が集団発生していたことが判明した．感染源は豚肉，豚レバーと考えられた．またE型肝炎ウイルス (HEV) に感染した患者次男の血液が64歳，男性に輸血され，受血者はE型肝炎を発症した．HEV-RNAの遺伝子解析を行ったところ，患者次男と受血者の配列は一致した．本事例は市井の料理店でのHEV感染を示唆する初の事例であり，またわが国のE型肝炎の疫学的データを非常によく反映しており，非常に貴重な事例と考えられた． | |

| [ Summary ] | A 69 year old male died of fulminant hepatitis E in Kitami, Hokkaido. By conducting a family study, it was revealed that seven relatives of the patient were infected with HEV at a Yakiniku restaurant. Pig liver was determined to be the source of infection. To our surprise, a 64-year-old male was infected with HEV through a transfusion from a son of the patient who was infected with HEV at the restaurant. The HEV-RNA sequence of the two corresponded. This is the first report determining the source of HEV infection as being a restaurant. | |
