[ Summary ] |
The kidneys play a vital role in the excretion of medicines. Omeprazole, lansoprazole, and rabeprazole (3 types of proton pump inhibiters) are all hepatic metabolizers, thus dosages do not have to be reduced due to renal insufficiency. Histamine H2 receptor antagonists are generally divided into kidney excretion and liver metabolism conformer, types. Kidney excretion comformers such as cimetidine ranitidine, famotidine roxatidine and nizatidine, must be regulated according to the degree of renal disturbance caused by creatinine clearance. Although the liver metabolism conformer lafutidine dose not require moderation until loss of renal function, it may be safe to use it in low doses due to the loss of physiological functions in advanced renal dysfunction and for dialysis patients. |
