| 【 要旨 】 | 在宅移行への障害を克服するものとして，近年発展の著しいIT機器には期待するところが大きい．われわれは平成11年からテレビ電話による在宅支援システムを導入し，34症例を経験しているが，テレビ電話システムの効果をあげると 1) 患者を円滑に在宅医療に誘導できる． 2) 患者家族の安心感の確保，緊急時の対応に優れる． 3) 在宅死を実現もしくは終末期の在院日数を短縮する． 4) 医療機関連携の手段に有用であり，地域医療と医療者意識の向上に寄与する． 5) 医療者の負担を軽減する． テレビ電話システムを含め地域医療のネットワーク化による病診連携の進展は，今後の在宅医療に大いに貢献するであろう． |

| [ Summary ] | We introduced an in-home support system, usingvideophone for thirty four cases. Our system consists of the ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) type videophones and WCDMA (Wideband Code Devision Multiple Access) type cellphones. The usefulness of the videophone system is summarized below, a) The videophone system contributes to patients smooth transition to life at home and can help them to cope with emergencies occurring at their homes. b) Communication with a doctor or a nurse, using the videophone system, relieves the patient of worry at home, as well as his/her family. c) The videophone system shortens the hospitalization period, and enables the patient to remain home in terminal situations. d) The videophone system increases cooperation between the medical staff members and reduces the load on medical personel. Network systems and information technology, including videophones, may contribute to in-home medical care for cancer patients. |
