[ Summary ] It has been proven that eradication of Helicobacter pylori is useful in the management of low-grade MALT lymphoma. The prognosis depends on the histology and the stage. Stage I or II of MALT lymphoma is benign and there is usually a good prognosis for the patient. However, stage IV low-grade MALT lymphoma, consisting of disseminated extranodal involvement or supradiaphragmatic nodal involvement, results in a poor prognosis similar to that seen in intermediate to high grade non-Hogdikin's lymphoma. Chemotherapy, with additional ajuvant radiotherapy is recommended in the advanced stages of low grade MALT lymphoma.
