[ Summary ] In gastric lymphomas from mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALToma), H.pylori is one of the main causes of MALT. The detection rate of H.pylori is quite high especially in low-grade MALToma. Moreover, some reports suggest that MALToma was produced in the model in association with a Helicobacter species. A suggested route for this disease is: infection by microorganisms -> formation of antigens -> specific T-cell -> CD-cells -> multiplication of CCLs, which can be thought to the mechanism which make MALToma, as seen in studies with lymphocyte surface markers and other methods. On the other hand, the progression of MALToma can be thought to have three roots: (1) mucosal and submucosal layer -> superficial spreading, (2) mucosal and submucosal layer -> deeper invasion -> spreading, (3) remote metastasis, without relationship to primary gastric lesions. After therapy, it is necessary to examine the patient carefully and perform broad-view follow-up study by using EUS, CT, 67Ga scintigraphy, etc.
