[ Summary ] |
IDUS of the pancreas was performed in 11 cases of common pancreas cancer and 15 cases of intraductal papillary tumor of the pancreas. Common pancreas cancer showed a low echo of the inside by IDUS. Endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS) was useful in demonstrating mural nodules over 6mm in cases intraductal papillary adenoma and adenocarcinoma. IDUS was very useful in demonstrating a wall thickness of cysts and dilated brenches, especally a carcinoma in situ of the pancreas. We understood that IDUS and EUS were not same modality for the pancreas diseases, especially intraductal papillary tumor. |
