【 要旨 】 炎症性腸疾患のうちでクローン病，潰瘍性大腸炎，腸管べ一チェット病をとり上げ，その現代医学的治療をリビューし，漢方医学的治療の適用の可能性について解説する．潰瘍性大腸炎や腸管べ一チェット病に対しては，葛根黄連黄ごん湯や黄ごん湯が有効な場合が多いと思われるが，われわれはクローン病に対しては未だ有効な漢方薬が見出せない．炎症性腸疾患に適用できる可能性のある漢方薬は多いと考えられ，今後の検討結果が期待される．

Title Kampo Therapy for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases

[ Summary ] We review in this article the treatment modalities of the modern medicine for inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and entero Behcet disease), and discuss the possible effects of Kampo medicine for these disorders. Kakkon-oren-ogon-to or Ogon-to is found to be effective for patients with ulcerative colitis and entero Behcet disease. However, we have been unable to find Kampo formulas effective for Crohn's disease. We believe that there are many Kampo formulas which are potentially effective for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases.
