[ Summary ] |
A review of benign elevated lesions of the duodenum is presented. The incidence of heterotopic gastric mucosa is relatively high, and adenoma is a clinically important disease, as the complication of carcinoma is possible and the pathological diagnosis may be difficult based on examination of a biopsy specimen. Reports of these benign elevated lesions of the duodenum are anticipated to increased with use of the panendoscope and their clinical importance may be more clearly understood in the future. |
