When an accident occurs in a hospital, the most important issue is to minimize damage to patients. An effective system for managing emergencies must be established. Spot preservation and accurate medical records are very important to insure that medical staff respond appropriately to accidents. Medical staff must provide timely and accurate information on situations to patients' families. However, unverified information must not be disseminated. Medical staffs must always keep in mind that they are obliged to respond in a timely and honest fashion to patients and their families. |
