【 要旨 】 否認，怒り，不安などの抑うつに関連するさまざまな心理状態を解説し，透析患者の腎不全という事実の精神的受容がいかに難しいものであるかを論じた．そして，そこで生じる葛藤が二次的に反応性の抑うつを呈する可能性があることを示した．透析患者の精神心理特性は，基本的にはがん患者のように重度身体疾患にみられる心理状態に酷似しているように思われる．

[ Summary ] We examined various psychological states associated with depression including denial, anger / hostility, and anxiety. Based on this examination, we also pointed out the difficulty of psychological acceptance for end-stage renal disease (ESRD) on hemodialysis (HD). Psychological characteristics in ESRD patients on HD seem to be extremely similar to those in cancer patients.
