【 要旨 】 近年の血液浄化関連機器の進歩により，小児急性疾患に対しても積極的に血液浄化療法が実施されるようになってきた．血液浄化療法の適応やその効果に関して，小児と成人との間でなんら違いはない．しかし，小児は成人と比べて体格が小さく未熟なことから，小児に特有ないくつかの実施上の留意点がある．本稿では小児領域における血液浄化療法に関して小児の生理的特性と，実施する際の具体的な留意事項について概説した．

[ Summary ] Recent advances in a blood purification therapy have made it possible for it to be widely applied to pediatric patients. Although these are differences in applications for different diseases, the rationales for and the effects of blood purification therapy for children and adults seems to be similar, there are several special issues in blood purification therapy, for small children. In this review, some of those special issues concerning blood purification therapy for pediatric patients were briefly summarized.
