【 要旨 】 エチレングリコール(ethylene glycol;EG)を含む不凍液の誤飲により急性腎不全を発症した1症例を経験した．症例は18歳の男性で，EG含有不凍液を誤飲した後より悪心・嘔吐が出現した．近医にて入院治療中に意識レベルの低下と全身痙攣が出現し，また急速な腎機能の悪化が認められたため当院に転院となった．緊急に血液透析を実施し，以後連日にわたり計8回の血液透析を行った後に離脱した．

[ Summary ] We describe an 18-year-old man who developed acute renal failure after accidental ingestion of ethylene glycol (EG). Nausea and vomiting were observed soon after ingestion. During admission to his local hospital, consciousness became impaired and convulsion was noted. He was transferred to our hospital because of rapid deterioration of renal function. Treatments were carried out, and after improvements in serum creatinine were confirmed, hemodialysis was discontinued after the 8th session.
