[ Summary ] |
The principle of medical diagnosis and management of infectious enterocolitis in dialysis patients are both the same as for nondialysis patients. However, the clinical manifestations have more sever enteric symptoms and complications, so that dialysis patients are in a generaly immunosuppressed state and may also have uremic enterocolitis. The bodily fluid abnormalities become complicated, so that kidney function cases and uremic symptoms worsen. It is necessary to consider the excretions from dialysis membranes or the peritoneal membrane and the side effects of antibacterial agents administered to dialysis patients. |
