【 要旨 】 潰瘍性大腸炎（ulcerative colitis；UC）に対して大腸カプセル内視鏡（colon capsule endoscopy；CCE）は，病変の性状や程度，罹患範囲などを確認するモニタリングツールとして使用する．最近，大腸ポリープに対するCCE前処置で本邦に古くからあるヒマシ油を使用した前処置法の有用性が報告されているが，UCに対する高濃度polyethylene glycolとヒマシ油を用いた前処置法の簡便さと，高い全大腸観察率が報告されている．

[ Summary ] Colon capsule endoscopy (CCE) for ulcerative colitis (UC) should be used as a monitoring tool to confirm the severity and extent of inflammation. Recently, the utility of a preparation using castor oil in conjunction with CCE for colonic polyps has been reported. Preparations using high concentrations of polyethylene glycol solutions along with ascorbic acid and castor oil for UC have also been reported. Simplicity and high total colon observation rates have been reported with these methods.
