| [ Summary ] |
Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) systems have been developed through collaboration between the National Cancer Center Hospital and the Olympus Medical Systems company. Sano et al. originally reported on the capillary pattern classification system for colorectal lesions. Various NBI classifications have since been reported on. Many discussions are ongoing concerning NBI classification ; however, some investigators have suggested that these classifications should be unified in order to further their use. Therefore, we have organized a Japanese project team to unify magnified NBI classification using the multicenter web test system scientifically with recommendations from Dr. Yoshida. Five young team members were also elected to create an association to develop magnified NBI classification systems. |
