【要旨】	カプセル内視鏡（CE）やバルーン内視鏡（BE）による小腸内視鏡検査手技の確立とともに，内視鏡検査で診断される小腸GISTの報告も増加している．小腸GISTに対してCEは非侵襲的で簡便な検査法であるが，正常の壁外圧迫像との鑑別診断が困難なことが多い．一方，BEはやや侵襲的検査ではあるが，生検による病理組織診断，超音波内視鏡検査による質的診断，外科的切除前のマーキング（点墨）が行えることなどが利点である．小腸GISTの診断には，CEやBEに従来の注腸X線検査，体外式超音波検査，腹部CT検査など各検査法の特徴を考慮して組み合わせることが必要である．

[ Summary ]	Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) of the small bowel are frequently observed using capsule endoscopy (CE) and balloon endoscopy (BE). It is reported that GISTs in the small bowel have a higher potential for malignancy than gastric GISTs. However, a clinical management regimen for small GISTs in the small bowel has not been established. Therefore, further investigation by observing a great number of cases is necessary to reveal the actual malignancy potential of GISTs in the small bowel, especially small tumors.
