[ Summary ] |
PTH measurement is indispensable to medical examinations and treatment of bone / calcium and phosphorus metabolism for patients undergoing dialysis treatment. PTH assays have progressed from C-PTH and HS-PTH to intact-PTH. Two new PTH 1-84 assays measure full length PTH. Intact-PTH assays are still the standard measuring tool, which in combination with PTH 1-84 measurement and analysis provide accurate information. Investigations of the bioactivity of intermediate PTH fragments and C-terminal PTH large fragments C will be examined in the future. |
