【 要旨 】 i-STAT(R)は，超小型化したセンサを含むディスポーサブルのプラスチックカートリッジと信号を測定し結果を表示し保存するポータブルアナライザからなっている．
その分析評価は精密性および正確性とも満足するものであり，測定結果は従来の測定器と匹敵する結果であった．i-STATは透析室における診断と治療に非常に有用であると考えられる．

[ Summary ] The i-STAT system consists of a disposable plastic cartridge, containing a set of highly miniaturized sensors and a portable analyzer, which measures the signal and a generator and a system for storage of results. Analytical evaluation showed satisfactory accuracy and precision and the results are highly comparable to those measured with conventional analyzers. The i-STAT system is very useful for diagnosis and treatment of patients in dialysis units.
