Indication for laparoscopic colorectal surgery were limited to cancer cases M, SM and MP by preoperative evaluation of the depth of invasion through colonoscopic examination. Under pneumoperitoneal visualization, laparoscopic resection of colon and rectum along with lymphadenectomy was performed using harmonic scalpel LCS and ultrasonic aspiration surgical unit. Kuma-corn was a useful device for resection and reconstruction, using the double stapling techniclue for cases of middle rectal cancer, because the bottom of pelvic cavity was orally elevated. One hundred and thirty cases of colorectal disease, include one hundred and seven cases of colorectal cancer, were safely performed using laparoscopic procedures. D2 or D3 lymphadenectomies and reconstructions were completed in eighty eight cases, using this techniclue. The number of dissected lymphnodes and surgical margin of resected specimens in laparoscopic group was similar to those in the open group. Oral intake was permitted at 3.8 POD, and hospitalization after surgery averaged 16 POD. Laparoscopic colorectal surgery was less invasive form of treatment for the patients with colorectal cancer. |
