【 要旨 】 腸管感染症の原因の診断方法には，便培養検査，便塗抹検査，抗原検査，遺伝子検査，血清抗体検査，血液培養検査などさまざまなものがある．よく用いられる検査は便培養検査と便抗原検査である．便培養検査では，病原菌をある程度推定することが重要である．便抗原検査は，病原体，病原因子，毒素などを抗原とする糞便を用いた迅速診断キットが汎用されている．簡便かつ短時間で判定可能だが，感度や特異度が問題となるものもあり，その限界を知って用いる必要がある．

[ Summary ] Diagnostic methods for intestinal tract infections include fecal culture examinations, fecal smear tests, antigen tests, and genetic tests. Commonly used tests are fecal culture examination and antigen testing. In fecal culture examination, it is necessary to estimate pathogenic bacteria to some extent. In fecal antigen tests, the quick diagnostic kits using an antigen such as pathogenic microorganisms, pathogenic factors, or toxins are widely used. The quick diagnostic kits have the advantage that they can be used easily in a short time, but the sensitivity or the specificity is also insufficient in some kits.
