[ Summary ] |
A woman in her 80s underwent a right side colrectomy for advanced cecal cancer detected during initial colonoscopy. She underwent colonoscopy again for hematochezia 6 months after surgery and IIa+IIc type interval invasive cancer was found. It was suspected of being a deep submucosal invasive lesion with anastomosis in the transverse colon. Transverse colectomy was additionally performed and histological findings were advanced to type T2 (MP) cancer. Synchronous multiple colorectal cancer is not rare. Endoscopist should pay attention to find additional cancers after finding advanced colorectal cancer. |
