[ Summary ] |
The NICE classification consists of three simple categories ; Type 1, Type 2 and, Type 3 are indicators of hyperplasia, adenoma associated with submucosal superficial carcinoma and submucosal deep carcinoma, respectively. This classification is simple and possible with or without magnifying observation. Understanding and use of the NICE classification is an initial step toward the generalization of NBI examinations and NBI magnification for colonoscopists worldwide. This understanding will contribute to the standardization of characterizations used with NBI magnification. |
