[ Summary ] |
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) of the small bowel are frequently observed using capsule endoscopy (CE) and balloon endoscopy (BE). It is reported that GISTs in the small bowel have a higher potential for malignancy than gastric GISTs. However, a clinical management regimen for small GISTs in the small bowel has not been established. Therefore, further investigation by observing a great number of cases is necessary to reveal the actual malignancy potential of GISTs in the small bowel, especially small tumors. |
