[ Summary ] |
Vaccination for preventing influenza and Streptococcus pneumoniae infections is credited with the decrease in risk of hospitalization and mortality in hemodialysis patients. Prevalence of curious tooth and periodontal disease is very high in hemodialysis patients, and risk of aspiration pneumonia is reduced by oral care. Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) with severe calcification is common in the lower legs in hemodialysis patients. Foot care is very important for early detection and treatment of PAD. |
