[ Summary ] Grief is a normal psychological reaction to loss. Grief care supports the natural restoration of grief through support and appropriate counseling. It is aimed at supporting the emotional expression of the aggrieved individual through kindness and providing reassurance to the individual that the symptoms of grief are natural and expected expressions. At the terminal stage, grief care is aimed at supporting and encouraging the family and the patient to share a happy time together by communicating with the family regarding the prospects of the patient's progress and the various strategies that can be adopted during this time. End-of-life and post-mortem care are also included under grief care. Sharing warm memories of the deceased and caring for the mind and body of the family after the bereavement constitute appropriate bereavement care. Additionally, at any time, if grieving family members are observed to show prolonged grief or depression, it is necessary to introduce professional treatment to help such individuals.
