[ Summary ] |
We evaluated the clinico-pathological features of villous tumors (VT). The frequency of VT in adenoma was 1.87%. The gross configurations of VT of the protruding type: 66.4%, and the superficial type: 33.6%. The most frequent site of VT was in the rectum. The rates of early cancer, of the protruding type, increased when more than 11mm in diameter, but that of the superficial type increased when more than 21mm in diameter. The endoscopic features of submucosal invading cancer were sclerous change and type V pit pattern. |
