[ Summary ] |
Mucosal healing is an important treatment goal for maintaining clinical remission in ulcerative colitis (UC) patients. Linked color imaging (LCI) is a new technique of endoscopic image enhancement including in the LASEREO endoscopic system. LCI enhances mucosal redness and endoscopic mucosal classification based on LCI images, which are strongly correlated with histological inflammation and long-term prognoses for UC patients. Results obtained are better than those based on Mayo endoscopic subscores. |
