[ Summary ] |
LST is divided roughly into the granular type and the non-granular type as determined by macroscopic features. Furthermore, the former is subclassified into the homogeneous type (G-H) and the nodular mixed type (G-M). The latter is sub-classified into the flat elevated type (NG-F) and the pseudo-depressed type (NG-PD) according to detailed features. This sub-classification presents problems not only with form of lesion but also clinicopathologic significance. We think that it is important to carry out qualitative diagnosis of all cases using magnifying endoscopy based on these significant factors. |
