[ Summary ] |
Colorectal villous tumors are defined as being macroscopically elevated with villous or fine granular surfaces. When focal cancer develops in deep crypts it is rather difficult to identify cancerous lesions from surface structures, such as pit patterns. Polypectomy or EMR (piecemeal EMR) for large villous tumors tends to result in incomplete resection. We should especially consider ESD or surgery, for large villous tumors. |
