| 【 要旨 】 | 動物モデルによる疾患の解析は，ヒトの疾患の診断・治療の研究に必須である．特定の疾患の動物モデルは，ヒト疾患の病態の近似性の視点から眺める必要がある．本稿では，NASHモデル17種類の特徴，妥当性，問題点を概説した．これらのモデルは，完全にはNASHの病態を反映しないが，それぞれの目的でモデルを選択することで有用なデータが得られると期待される． | |

| [ Summary ] | In this review article, I discussed the role of animal models as a tool for NASH research. The characters, utilities, and problems of 17 NASH animal models have been described. Of these, no models have fitted the features of human NASH. These models are important for the study of the pathophysiology of NASH only if they are used for the proper aims of research. | |
